The independent building surveying practice

Domestic Surveys is an independent building surveying practice providing high-quality personal service and delivering client satisfaction throughout Bristol, Bath and Gloucestershire.

We specialise in providing full building surveys (formerly known as the structural survey) which are very detailed, identifying potentially expensive problems; our surveyors use the latest technology available including boom cameras to view the roof-tops and chimneys.

The surveyor prepares a comprehensive illustrated report and meet by Skype/Zoom, for you to raise any questions and to ensure that you fully understand the implications of his findings in case you need to renegotiate the purchase price.

Domestic Surveys has a wealth of experience and our team are fully qualified and very conscientious.

Your Questions Answered

Why use an independent?
We work for you and you only unlike a valuer who works for your lender. An RICS survey stated that 58% of participants thought a mortgage valuation would let them know if there were damp or structural issues at the property but this is not the case.

How much will the survey cost?
Unlike other surveyors who immediately will ask the cost of the property to determine the fees they can charge you. We don’t. Uniquely our fee depends on the size and complexity of the property.

We offer Building Surveys, Homebuyers Surveys, Party Wall Notices, Condition Surveys, and New Build Snagging Surveys.
